KMA Martial Arts

KMA St Marys is a Martial Arts training centre focused on helping people achieve their fitness and training goals regardless of their current level of skill or ability.

Our Martial Arts system incorporates a combination of techniques and principles from a variety of styles including Hapkido, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kali, Wing Chung and weaponry. Hapkido is regarded by many as a complete self defence system and our program covers pressure points, joint locks, sweeps & throws, low and high kicks, and submission techniques.

Classes are for all ages, tailored for 4 – 6 years, 7 – 12 years, and adults.

Martial arts at KMA is more than just self defence

No matter who you are; age, size or current ability, anyone has the potential to earn a black belt. Our belief is that martial arts is more than just self-defence skills. We believe in a strong mind AND body, in balancing mental and physical well-being. We also teach a wide range of life skills to our younger students.

Self defence skills

Combative training, not competition focused. Learn real world martial arts skills so you don’t have to ‘play by the rules’. Our techniques are effective anytime and anywhere! We have classes for all ages and skill levels.

Increased Reflexes

Martial arts training sharpens reaction time by enhancing reflexes and awareness. Students learn to respond swiftly and effectively to unexpected situations, improving both physical agility and mental alertness.

Life skills, focus, respect, self-esteem, confidence, discipline, honesty, belief

Strengthen mind and spirit

Martial arts strengthens the mind and spirit by promoting discipline, focus, and self-awareness. Practitioners develop mental resilience, inner peace, and a deeper understanding of themselves, creating harmony between mind, body, and spirit.

Master dennis and Mr Brian are the best instructors they have helped me to build more confidence, coordination structure and discipline within myself and learning new skills and techniques. The instructors always go above and beyond with patience, professionalism and guidance to ensure everyone can reach their full potential and feel supported on their journey to gaining skills and knowledge as they progress through the different belts to one day reaching black belt. Jenny who does the admin always ensures that everyone is looked after and has everything they need from uniform to bags to gloves, ensuring that everyone in the community is showing up with everything they need to train. I I also love how affordable the classes are and the flexible payment plan. Kma is Fantastic Four very young kids to teenagers and even adults so wanting to build confidence learn self-defense and be a part of a growing community

KMA is not just a kids only martial arts but its also there for adults / teens that want to be able to defend , stay fit & be safe in the big wide world..Each child & the adults are taught not only the moves but the reason and know how of each one. They are here to learn respect, not to be a bully, gain better listening skills, focus, self confidence and many more.
